Behind the Scenes - How our cushions are made!
There is a whole process that goes into getting a product from an idea to displaying it on the shop shelf. We thought you might like an insight into what goes into the manufacturing process of one of our favourite cushion suppliers. So we are taking you behind the scenes.
Handmade Cushions
We have worked with Wraptious since they first started as a one-man business and over the years have watched them thrive into the well-known brand they are today.
We chose Wraptious not only because of the price and quality of their cushions but we love the fact that they are all manufactured in the UK. So every cushion you buy helps to support the UK economy and keep jobs in Britain. Read on to find out more.
Artwork Cushions
Artwork Printed on Cushions
The finalised design is first printed onto transferable paper in large sheets with multiple designs. This is then taken with the vegan suede fabric and transferred from the paper onto the fabric through a process of thermo-processing - the ins and outs of how this works are way above my pay grade.
The paper is carefully removed and the end result is one side of a cushion with a lovely piece of artwork on it.
Handmade Cushion Covers
Of course cushion covers have two sides and this is where British craftsmen and women are key. They take both sides of the cushion and carefully sew them together inside out, adding in a zip for securing the fibre inserts.Sign up and get access to exclusive deals, subscriber only offers and much more!
